As every reader of this blog probably knows, Larry Sultan died few weeks ago. As every reader of this blog probably knows, he was one of the most influential figures of the modern day photography. Period.
Right now I'm sitting home writing a piece about him for 'Przekroj'. While researching I came across this extensive (almost an hour long!) interview he gave to Portland State University campus radio. The quality sucks, questions are, so to say, stupid, but the answers Larry Sultan gives are totally worth it. I thought I'll share. Embedding is forbidden, you have to listen to the thing HERE.
The interview starts after two songs and some commercials, no worries. Wait patiently, or simply skip about 6 minutes.
Sit back, relax.
PS. Image above is Larry Sultan's baseball card by Mike Mandel (guy with whom he worked on 'Evidence'), he is 29 in this picture. Reblogged from here.
