Super intresting interview with
Setephen Shore from the last issue of Purple magazine is now online on their website:
Shore's books ("American Surfaces", "Uncommon Places" and Phaidon monography) are the publications that I see on almost every photographer's bookshelves when I come to visit. I think I see more of his books than ones from Robert Frank, Richard Avedon or anybody else. Shore is the man whose influence on the shape of the medium as we know it today cannot be overestimated. Getting to know his thoughts on Instagram (which he seems to love) and digital revolution puts some of the chaos around us into order. Although he is 68 years old and a living legend he is having the problems all of us are having. He admits it, he knows that he won't be able to figure that out and just tries to do his thing.
