The biggest rap news of the last few weeks is obviously "To Pimp a Butterfly" by Kendrick Lamar.
It's an amazing album. It's so amazing, I even find it a bit intimidating. Like I can't just casually listen to it while driving or doing grocery shopping. I feel that I have to pay attention to all the details of the narrative, enjoy the live section, diversity of Kendrick's flow etc. It's a bit like these super cool clothes you sometimes buy and you almost never wear. They're just too cool, they hang in your closet waiting and shining and you still end up wearing your favorite t-shirt.
At the moment Joey Badass' "B4.Da.$$" is my favorite t-shirt. If you've missed it, give it a go.
